At the very least, slap a compressor on the master channel.
This track sounds like it would be very enjoyable with mastering even at a minimum level.
I really can't wait to hear what you're going to do after where it cuts off.
It's very awkward as it is now.

Payback

It's good, for the most part. It kinda hops along. Some parts get rough at the transitions.
Gets really thumpy and groovy at 40 seconds in.
I think your friend should do the same thing as well. You choose the samples and he makes something. Then again! I wish someone could give me this challenge!
We should get together sometime and like, have you pick out youtube video's I can sample from and I'll try this challenge out.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to switch this challenge up a bit and get him to do it, and post his results. I'd love to spread this challenge around a little bit and get others to try it out. If I were to take part in another, it would have to be in a few weeks, sadly. Things are getting a little hectic, especially since I'm about to finish up a little project for NG and then move on to a collab I've been planning. Anyway, thank you for the review, and I'll get back to you about picking samples and such.

It's very rough.
The vocals are hard to hear, you might consider lowering the piano volume or side-chaining the voice onto the piano channel.
Allot of the sounds are clashing and merging too much, put a compressor on the main channel.

Hard to listen to, but it does seem to sound like it will be decent with some mastering.

Over all it's pretty damn good :3
There's some elements it could use around the beginning of the middle of the song.
I always recommend pads or elements for this.
Otherwise this track will keep really anybody entertained with it playing somewhere in the background.
It has nice bass, good scores, the automation is a nice touch.

Deep Dark Dank

The crushers are wicked, and before you know it, you have a pulsing baseline in there. You're right about the song progressing slowly. I'm normally not too keen about listening to this kind of music in my spare time.
But it would make an awesome Filmscore or Soundtrack for an eerie Video-game! The crushers that come in make you wonder, what kind of machine could make such a sound?
I imagine a flesh covered factory machine in a dark grieving cave, like Yume Nikki for example. Very complex sounding, I hope you enjoyed creating it.
It was enjoyable to listen to for imagining things.

Upbeat

*to other listeners: it gets good at 0:18

It has an interesting use of tempo change. You did very well on your synth lead, it kept me fairly entertained. I really see that there should be something playing as the beat slows down. The song could stand to have a soft element playing, strings or pads would be a good choice.
Otherwise, the beat slowing down stretches for a very long time. The cymbal you used at the end was a nice touch though, hah.
It moves from intense battle music to happy, to calm.

After finishing a song, its always tough to swallow criticism, but I gotta say, great review. Really was nice to hear, so thank you. Yeah the song needs work but I'm glad you enjoyed it ( for the most part.)

[Snailiad - Moon Snail]

Tight

The pitch bend in points of the bass, the tom before the beat slows down, the way it slows down and speeds up with different instruments differently. Those are the three bits of the track that make it outstanding.
I'm going to assume you got some reverences from Rock music for that bass instrument.
I'm not referring to the sub sound that comes in, just the low square/saw wave.

That drop was huge, I was starting to wonder what was at the end of that trail at the beginning.It's got gut, it's got punch, it's got groove. I <3 it

And I was using Massive haha. Just began with some bass preset and did some tweaking. Honestly this was a pretty lazy track, probably only an hour or two of work total.

The poly pad at the beginning are awesome at 0:23. Care to give a brief explanation as to what you used(program/vsti)?
I've been trying to make that type of sound for a long while now, I've been doing something wrong quite wrong whenever I try.
But the real question is, why haven't more people heard this?
If you review other people's music you'll find that people wander over to your music and hear you. And you find new inspirations like I am right now!
Man, I want all my friends to hear your music, I'm going to download it and take it to work with me tomorrow!

lol, your questions and gayness are flattering! At 0:23 I tweaked a PoiZone preset (LED Dwarf MC) by turning off the mono so it could play chords, and adjusting some other stuff.

Yeah, I kinda figured about the reviews, since I myself often check out people who review me, but there are just so many submissions on ng and most of them are mediocre
